When Tim Walton arrived at the University of Florida in 2006, he felt confident he would be able to build a softball team capable of competing at a championship level.
He was proven correct relatively quickly. In his third season as the head coach at Florida, the Gators put together an incredible season. They posted an NCAA-record 70 wins and advanced to the semifinals of the Women’s College World Series.
